Sensacril - FP
Sensacryl FB is a specially formulated cross-linked
cast acrylic sheet designed for the sanitary ware market. It is
available in virtually all the industry colors, whites, pastels
and marbles with color matching readily available. Sensacryl is
available in cut-to-size for specific requirements subject to
quotation.
Sensacril FB has excellent chemical resistant
properties enabling it to be in contact with commonly used
household cleaning agents. Also, the cross-linking allows
Sensacryl to be thermoformed in deep draws with excellent
uniformity particularly at sharp corners.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
SANITARY WARE TESTS
 | Sensacril FP has been tested by an industry
approved independent laboratory for compliance to the
ANSI Z 124.1, UL 746C and UL 94HB standards for plastic
materials used in hot tubs and associated equipment. The
test results complied exhibiting excellent chemical and
stain resistance, accelerated aging resistance, cigarette
burn resistance and low water absorption. |
THERMOFORMING PROPERTIES. Sensacryl FB shows better
thermoforming properties than general purpose cell cast acrylic
sheet. It's advantages:
 | Sensacril FP can be thermoformed much more easily
because it takes less force to thermoform parts. |
 | Sensacril FP will stretch considerably further
without rupturing. |
 | Sensacril FP has improved thermal stability allowing a
more flexible thermoforming process for complex parts.
|
FORMING CONDITIONS
 | Sensacril FP is ideally thermoformed in a temperature
range of 335-390 F (180-220C) with a cycle of 10-14
minutes in a hot air circulating oven. |
 | The actual cycle temperature settings and techniques
most suitable for a particular job are best determined in
the customer's own equipment. The following charts give a
general guideline about heating times as a function of
the sheet thickness for air circulation ovens and
infrared heating. |
